YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: Although [parliamentary opposition] PAP [(Prosperous Armenia Party)] chairman Gagik Tsarukyan has not yet met with [PM] Nikol Pashinyan and they have not discussed the issue of snap [parliamentary] elections, according to our information, a mediated dialogue is taking place between them.

Tsarukyan agrees to snap elections, and he may announce in the coming days that although he does not sign a memorandum, he promises not to nominate a [PM] candidate when Pashinyan resigns.

By the way, yesterday the ruling force had submitted to the parliament the draft amendments to the Electoral Code, which gives the impression that the government is preparing for the elections.

As for the [parliamentary opposition] BAP [Bright Armenia Party], [its leader] Edmon Marukyan said that the party board has not yet discussed whether or not to nominate a new [PM] candidate after the resignation of the Prime Minister. The BAP is perhaps waiting for Tsarukyan to take the first step.

Although the other forces of the [opposition] Homeland Salvation Movement [which demands Pashinyan’s resignation] do not say openly, they say inside that if [snap parliamentary] elections are announced even under Pashinyan's prime ministership, they will have to run [in them].

The most radical is the [former ruling] RPA [Republican Party of Armenia], which announces that they will answer the question of [their] running [in these elections] [only] after Pashinyan's resignation.
