The newly appointed ambassador of Denmark, Ole Egberg Mikkelsen—whose diplomatic residence is in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv—, presented his letter of credence to the President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, President Sarkissian wished him success, hoping that he would use his experience to develop ties between the two countries.

The interlocutors agreed that Armenia and Denmark have a great potential for deepening their relations.

Their meeting touched also upon the realities and a number of humanitarian issues after the recent Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war.

In this connection, President Sarkissian considered important the assistance of international partners in the return of Armenian captives held in Azerbaijan, as well as in the search for the missing.
