YEREVAN. – At Thursday's Cabinet session, the government did not approve the law initiative by independent MP Sergey Bagratyan, who proposes to make an amendment to the law on the rules of procedure of the National Assembly of Armenia.

In particular, Bagratyan proposes to stipulate in this law that in case of leaving or expulsion from an NA faction, an MP shall have the right to be included in international parliamentary organizations, interparliamentary committees, and NA delegations and friendship groups.

As the respective grounds it was noted that such independent MPs have equal rights as their colleagues who are members in the NA factions.

Therefore, as per Sergey Bagratyan, the adoption of this law initiative based on the need to provide equal opportunities to the MPs who left or were removed from NA factions.
