YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes. In July 2021, the RA State Supervision Service [(SSS)] had found out that by the orders of the head of the Judicial Department in 2016-2018, 9 employees were allegedly sent on business trips to various RA provinces. By submitting documents proving the overnight stay provided by various economic entities to reimburse their business trip expenses, they received a particularly large amount of a total of 41,934,000 RA drams [(approx. $88 thousand)].

It was also found out that in a number of cases, the relevant employees were at workplace during the period of the business trip days, as well as submitted documents provided by businesses for reimbursement of hotel service expenses, which, according to the SRC [(State Revenue Committee)] data, did not provide relevant services. As a result, a criminal case (…) was filed on the fact at the Investigative Committee.

According to the news reaching Zhoghovurd daily, this criminal case will be closed as the officials of the Judicial Department "made a deal" with the SSS, as well as with the law enforcement, that they will give back the loot, not punish them, and, in fact, there is an agreement between all parties, and the criminal case will be terminated.
