YEREVAN.-  Armenia’s Attorney General Aghvan Hovsepyan received Deputy Attorney General of Israel Yehuda Shaffer who is on a visit to Armenia to participate in the 19th plenary meeting of Egmont Group.

The sides discussed issues concerning both fight against money laundering of and cooperation between law enforcers of the two countries, prosecutor’s office reported.

The officials expressed readiness to fight crime, stressing the importance of sharing experience. In this context they stressed importance of the July 16 seminar to be held with the participation of representatives of law enforcement agencies, the financial monitoring center and the judicial system.

Yehuda Shaffer is expected to deliver a report followed by debates over controversial issues which emerged in the legislation.
