YEREVAN.- Investigation department of Armenia’s police informed opposition activists on Tuesday that the criminal case is over and if approved by prosecutor it will go to the court.
“After the August 9 attack on seven activists of the opposition Armenian National Congress, police accused Tigran Arakelyan, and Artak Karapetyan of using violence against representative of authority and disorderly conduct. Sargis Gevorgyan was charged with disorderly conduct,” Armenian Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper writes.
The case against Areg Gevorgyan, Vahagn Gurgyan, David Kiramidzhyan and Sak Muradyan continues.
The decision on arrest of Tigran Arakelyan was appealed on August 19 in the Court of Cassation by his lawyer, the newspaper writes.
