VAN. – An artist from Van Haydar Ekinek will organize an exhibition on September 11 on the day of liturgy at St Khach Church in Aghtamar.

The exhibition will have the name “Breath of brotherhood and peace in the lands when I was born,” Turkish IHA agency reports. Over 16 pictures will be exhibited and the invitations are published in Turkish, English, Armenian and Kurdish. The artist used the soil of Aghtamar in his works.

Aghtamar St Khach Church will hold a liturgy on September 11 devoted to the church celebration. The church held for the first time the liturgy in 2010, 95 years after the Genocide. Only Constantinople Armenian Patriarchate of the Armenian Apostolic Church participated in the liturgy, the Holy See of St Echmiadzin, the Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Great House of Cilicia reasoned their absence by not having set up the cross on the church.

However, the cross was set up 10 days after the liturgy on September 30 and was anointed by the spiritual leader of Constantinople Armenian Patriarchate Tatul Anushyan.
