More than 20 flights have been diverted to Istanbul's new airport due to heavy fog, the DHA news agency reported.
"Twenty-two planes that were due to land this morning at Sabiha Gokcen Airport in the east of the city have been diverted to Istanbul's new airport," the agency reported.
The airport's runway is closed to receive planes and departures from the air harbor are proceeding normally after a break of an hour, according to the Sabiha Gokcen Airport Press Service.
