The Turkish lira hit a record low against the US dollar (USD) at the start of Monday's trading, as the dollar/lira exchange rate was 23.77.
Investors are awaiting signals of a change in Turkey’s monetary policy following the appointment of a new central bank governor, who is expected to raise interest rates.
The dollar/lira pair was trading at 23.6 after reaching a record high at the start of the current trading.
