The Statistical Committee of Armenia has issued the main demographic indicators of the country for January-August 2024.

Accordingly, during that period, 21,876 children were born in Armenia, which is 1,675 less than the number that was recorded in the same period of 2023.

During the first eight months of this year, 17,217 people died in Armenia, which is 815 more than the figure recorded in the same period last year.

The situation in Armenia is not comforting in terms of the number of marriages and divorces either.

Thus, in January-August 2024, a total of 10,405 marriages (in 2023: 10,691, i.e. 286 less) and 3,041 divorces (in 2023: 2,949, i.e. 92 more) were registered in Armenia

According to the results of the first eight months of this year, 3,169,964 people entered Armenia, and 3,168,452 others left the country through its border checkpoints.

And the viability factor in Armenia was 127.1 percent.
