Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: Today, October 18, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will participate in the third meeting of the "3+3" regional consultation platform in Istanbul.

The "3+3" is a format of regional cooperation initiated by Turkey after the 44-day Karabakh war [in 2020] and supported by Russia, which assumes the participation of the three South Caucasus countries—Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan—as well as the three powers of the region—Russia, Turkey and Iran.

Russia confirmed the participation of [its FM] Sergey Lavrov [in the aforesaid meeting], whereas Georgia announced another boycott. They have not participated in any of the meetings, citing the disagreements with Russia.

Analyzing the statements being made from various countries in the political circles, there are predictions that [Armenian PM] Nikol Pashinyan will agree to the so-called Middle Corridor within the framework of a separate agreement with [Turkish president] Recep Erdogan, which is, to put it mildly, unacceptable for the RF [(Russian Federation)], as the November 9 [2020 trilateral] document talks about is about unblocking the [regional] roads, but not only about the so-called Zangezur corridor connecting Turkey to Azerbaijan.

This is why after the [Russian president] Putin-Pashinyan and Putin-[Azerbaijani president]Aliyev meetings in Moscow on October 8, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov had announced that the Russian president discussed the "Zangezur corridor" issue in the half-hour meetings.

And already yesterday, [Russian foreign ministry spox] Maria Zakharova edited that Moscow does not use the term "Zangezur corridor."
