Ukraine has received a €150 million grant from the European Union (EU) as part of the country's recovery program. A part of these funds will be directed to support important infrastructure facilities, informs the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

"The European Union has allocated EUR 150 million as a grant to Ukraine's State Budget Special Fund. This funding marks the second tranche under the Financing Agreement between Ukraine and the EU 'Support to Ukraine's fast recovery,'” according to the website of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

In particular, €65 million will be allocated to providing free meals for school students in grades 1–4, €50 million to restoring port infrastructure, €20 million to supporting uninterrupted agricultural production and access to financing for agricultural producers, and €15 million euros to rebuilding critical infrastructure damaged, including transport systems, critical utilities, social infrastructure, and housing.

It is noted that this is the second and last tranche within the framework of this program, the  total allocation of which is €300 million.

Ukraine had received the first tranche of €150 million in December 2023.
