[Magdalena] Grono, the newly appointed special representative of the EU, was in Armenia recently. And of course, we are waiting for the visit of the high representative of EU diplomacy, [Kaja] Kallas, to Armenia. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan stated this at the forum, entitled “Armenia-EU: Promotion of Strategic Partnership based on the Experience of the Visegrad Quartet,” on Thursday.

"We [i.e. Armenia] believe that the upcoming EU-Armenia Partnership Council will be marked by a very important agenda. I believe the next phase of the Armenia-EU Partnership Council will be signaled by a similar important event—first, by the adoption of a new agenda, and a number of important decisions.

Substantive negotiations on the liberalization of visas have already started in December, and this work will become even more active in the coming months. We will organize a number of visits to Brussels by our branch ministries, at the ministerial level, in order to further our sectoral cooperation,” emphasized the Armenian deputy FM.
