The start of Armenia's European Union (EU) accession process is a great civic initiative. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan stated this at the forum, entitled “Armenia-EU: Promotion of Strategic Partnership based on the Experience of the Visegrad Quartet,” on Thursday.

"This initiative was started by the civil society [of Armenia] and the [country’s] parliament responded to it. Maybe the situation is even more problematic now, unfortunately. But if we have the proper will and support from the EU member states, I believe we will be able to achieve positive results," added the Armenia deputy FM.
