US President Donald Trump has said that he expects a revenue-sharing agreement between the USA and Ukraine on the supply of crucial minerals from Ukraine to be signed soon, Reuters reports.

He also said that the US was in talks with Ukraine about the possibility of US firms owning Ukrainian power plants.

The U.S. delegation met with Ukrainian officials on Sunday and Russian officials in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Monday. The talks centered on a cease-fire in the Black Sea, but Trump said other issues are arising as he presses for an end to Russia's three-year war against Ukraine.

“Right now we're talking about territory. We're talking about lines of demarcation, we're talking about electricity, ownership of power plants. Some people say the United States should own a power plant ... because we have experience,” he said.
