French President Emmanuel Macron said on Saturday, after a “very positive” exchange with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, that Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire and the so-called “Coalition of the willing” led by France and Britain will continue to work to achieve this as well as a lasting peace in Ukraine.

"An end to the war in Ukraine. This is a goal we share with (US) President (Donald) Trump," Macron wrote on social media X. - Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire. President Zelensky told me that again today. He would like to work with the Americans and the Europeans to make this a reality."

Earlier, Russia's readiness for a ceasefire without preconditions was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
