A proposal to impeach US President Donald Trump has been introduced in the House of Representatives. This was informed on X by Congressman Shri Thanedar from the state of Michigan.

“I have introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump. When Trump ignores the Constitution, Congress, and the courts, he is not ‘fighting for America.’ He is tearing it down and endangering our democracy,” the congressman wrote.

Thanedar announced that he has introduced seven articles of impeachment, accusing Trump of a number of serious violations.

Also, the congressman accuses Trump of illegally cutting budget spending for individual government agencies through the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) without congressional approval.

Among other grounds for impeachment, Thanedar cited Trump’s aggressive tariff policy, which has damaged the international economy, suppression of the media, violation of the First Amendment—i.e. guarantee of free speech—to the US Constitution, bribery, interference in the work of the courts, and illegal collection of peoples’ personal data.

Trump is attempting to centralize unlimited power and destroy the constitutional limits of the US presidency. The US has presidents, not kings. This is not just a misdemeanor, this is an impeachable offense, Thanedar emphasized.
