US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff, a real estate developer and friend of the president, is considering replacing Mike Waltz as national security adviser, although a decision has not yet been made, CNN reported, citing a source.
Witkoff has been negotiating with Russia and Iran while Trump has been seeking agreements on key foreign policy priorities.
Earlier, it became known that Mike Waltz and his deputy Alex Wong will leave their posts in the White House.
