Indian authorities have blocked access in India to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s YouTube channel.

The respective videos are not accessible in India due to Indian government orders related to national security or public order, YouTube said.

Earlier, Indian authorities had blocked the X accounts of the Pakistani government and defense minister as well as 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for allegedly disseminating false information about India, its armed forces and security agencies after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.

The total audience of the blocked YouTube channels is more than 63 million people, and they were blocked on the recommendation of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.

Relations between India and Pakistan have strained since April 22, when 26 people were killed in a terror attack in Pahalgam town in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
