Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia Arpine Sargsyan, during her visit to Brussels, on Tuesday met with European Union (EU) Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration, Magnus Brunner.

The parties discussed the EU-Armenia visa liberalization dialogue, and emphasized the importance of practical steps in this regard.

Commissioner Brunner announced that a European expert delegation will visit Armenia on June 24 to discuss the draft version of the EU-Armenia visa liberalization action plan. Also, the European side reaffirmed its readiness to finalize and submit this action plan to the Armenian side as soon as possible.

Minister Sargsyan, for her part, presented in detail the ongoing reforms in Armenia, and stressed the Armenian side's readiness to make maximum efforts towards the rapid implementation of the aforesaid action plan.

Also, Sargsyan invited Commissioner Brunner to Armenia next year to more closely coordinate further actions and learn about the large-scale changes being implemented in the country.
