Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held collective talks with European colleagues, ILNA reports.

During the talks, Araghchi described Israel's attack on Iran as an unprecedented blow to diplomacy, and called on European countries to condemn this attack.

He stressed that Iran's legitimate defense against this attack will continue with the use of force, and the accountability for the consequences of any escalation of the current conflict will fall on Israel and its supporters and sponsors.

"Israel, with the support, assistance, and collaboration of America, started this war against the Iranian people. So, we hold America accountable for this situation and complicit in the crimes committed," Araghchi added.

The Iranian FM added that Tehran has never left the negotiating table, but at this phase it is focused on effectively countering the Israeli aggression.

The three European countries and the EU foreign policy chief also expressed regret over the current situation and extended condolences for the loss of life as a result of the attacks by Israel, and stressed the importance of using diplomacy to reduce tensions and declared their readiness to play their role in this matter.
