During his working visit to Cyprus, secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan met with Cyprus’ national security adviser to the president and director of the Intelligence Service, Tasos Tsionis.

The Grigoryan emphasized the high level of political relations between Armenia and Cyprus, and highlighted the role of high-level mutual visits and ongoing contacts between them, the Security Council of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of matters on the bilateral political agenda, as well as opportunities for cooperation in multilateral formats. Also, Grigoryan expressed gratitude for the Cypriot authorities’ consistent support to Armenian institutions.

The sides touched upon the established peace in the South Caucasus and the steps being taken as a result. At the request of Tasos Tsionis, Armen Grigoryan presented the progress of the preparatory work necessary for the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative.

Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue joint efforts to fully realize the potential of bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the friendship of the two peoples and the advancement of mutually interesting agendas.
