Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's pre-election photo with US Vice President JD Vance will cost Armenia $9 billion. That's how much the country will have to pay for the purchase and installation of an American modular nuclear power plant. This is what Monday's agreement was about, which even the authorities admit, political scientist Benyamin Matevosyan wrote on Telegram on Tuesday.

"They also admit that Vance is interfering in Armenia's internal affairs, but the ‘sovereignists’ are not worried about it; after all, ‘the US and many other partner countries have built big projects with Pashinyan.’ Those ‘many other countries’ are Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Let us note also that Vance is taking $9 billion + $11 million from Armenia to the US for reconnaissance drones (a warm welcome to the secular authorities of Iran). Moreover, Yerevan was not even able to get an exemption from the 25% tariffs which [US President Donald] Trump has imposed on countries trading with Iran.

Pashinyan needed a photo and a media frenzy, which he got for $9 billion. Vance needed to get another ‘card’ for the US in the deck of negotiating cards against Russia, and he got it. Moreover, he paid $9 billion for that ‘card’ to become a playing card in someone else’s game and against his own ally.

P.S. Warm greetings also to the ‘big guys’ of the Moscow cabinets, who, upon going to report to the Leader, were telling about the ‘largest’ trade turnover ‘in the entire universe and throughout the existence of human civilization’ between Russia and Pashinyan's Armenia, Matevosyan added.
