Those embassies operating in Armenia, which in previous years constantly issued travel advisories to their citizens to avoid border areas and Syunik Province, should stop these advisories. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed such hope at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.

“Mr. Mirzoyan, there is a need to work with those embassies so that they do not continue with such inertia,” the premier said, addressing Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

Also, Pashinyan presented several circumstances that contribute to the growth of tourism flows to Armenia.

According to him, economic development is an important factor, as well as the fact that Armenia is a safe country, since in various rating tables Armenia is considered a safe country in terms of internal security and crime.

"In 2025, we [i.e. Armenia] had a certain decrease in crime, and I believe that these also are additional factors that contribute to the growth of tourist flows," said the Armenian premier.
