The European Union (EU) has established quite good relations with Armenia. Markus Ritter, the head of the European Union civilian monitoring mission in Armenia (EUMA), who is completing his mission in the country, told this to a press conference Friday.
According to him, Armenia wants to get closer to the EU and is even discussing the possibility of joining it in the future.
The head of EUMA expressed hope that this will happen one day.
Also, Ritter hoped that the South Caucasus will become a peaceful region where people will come for tourism and trade, as, according to him, it is a wonderful region with a rich history and culture.
