US President Donald Trump reacted to statements by Iranian National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani, who has repeatedly said Washington "must pay" for strikes on Iran, in an interview with CBS News.

"I have no idea what he's talking about, who he is. I couldn't care less," Trump said, adding that Larijani has "already lost."

Larijani is secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, the key body shaping foreign policy and security.

Commenting on similar statements by other Iranian leaders, Trump reiterated that US strikes on Iran will continue.
