YEREVAN. – Armenia's Ambassador to Ukraine Andranik Manukyan was invited to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry where he was handed over a note, spokesperson for Armenian MFA Tigran Balayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Ukrainian media reported on Friday that Armenian Ambassador had been informed about concerns of the Ukrainian side.

“We have addressed Armenia for them to say officially and publicly that they do not recognize annexation of Crimea. In case of position that we will interpret as unfriendly, this will have negative consequences for bilateral relations,” Ukrainian Deputy FM Daniil Lubkivskiy said.

Earlier head of Ukrainian Freedom party Oleg Tyagnibok urged to recall ambassadors from the states that recognized Crimea as a part of Russia, namely from Armenia and Kazakhstan.

Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent addressed Ukrainian embassy in Yerevan on the situation and further moves, but they refrained from commenting.

In a phone conversation with Russia's Vladimir Putin earlier this week, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said Crimea referendum is another example of implementation of people's rights to self-determination through free expression of will.
