YEREVAN. - The parliament group of Armenian Heritage Party has not yet discussed the initiative of opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan, who wants to vote for impeachment of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in the Parliament, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

In an interview with Armenian News - NEWS.am, the Heritage Party parliament group secretary, MP Tevan Poghosyan said that the initiative will be discussed in the party soon. Personally for Tevan Poghosian the impeachment initiative is acceptable in general, however, he promised to express his position more clearly after getting acquainted with the actual text of proposed initiative.

“In general, we are in favor of any initiative that leads to a complete change of power, as we stated many times,” Poghosyan added.

The opposition Armenian MP Nikol Pashinyan wants to present a draft for the impeachment of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in the parliament. Pashinyan plans to appeal to parliament parties that did not join the ruling coalition to collect 44 MP signatures required to discuss the matter at a plenary session of Armenian Parliament.
