YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Culture Ministry will start digitizing the classic Armenian films in a single database, Armenia’s Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan said in the parliament on Monday.
Old periodicals and books have also started undergoing digitization. The first direction already includes 900 thousand digitized pages, while the second one – 518 thousand. In 2015 this process will continue.
From 2014 digitization has also been launched in the area of sheet music, specifically from the autographs of the Armenian composers’ works, as well as archives of Armenia’s National Theatre of Opera and Ballet. According to the minister, in 2015, this process will also continue.
