YEREVAN. – The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia convened a meeting on Wednesday.

And as a result of debates, the PSRC, based on the Law on Energy, decided to fine the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC with 60 million drams (approx. US$126,297).

The ENA has been penalized for the infringement of the procedure for connecting new consumers’ electricity consumption systems to the power grid.

“No advance payment is envisioned for connecting to the electricity grid,” said Abgar Budaghyan, Head of the Development and Monitoring Department at the PSRC. “Consequently, such a decision by the ENA was not lawful.”
