YEREVAN. – In the Turkish-Kurdish fight, the pitcher always breaks in the head of the Armenians.

Founder of the Union of Dersim [i.e. today’s Tunceli Province of Turkey] Armenians, Mihran Pırgiç Gültekin, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Wednesday. He added that there are three to four million hidden Armenians in eastern Turkey.

In Gültekin’s words, the Armenians living in Turkey are persecuted due to the Turkish-Kurdish war, and therefore they prefer to keep their Armenian identity secret rather than being persecuted. 

Also, founder of the Union of Dersim Armenians informed that even though there are plans to restore Armenian churches and monuments in Turkey, the necessary funding is still nonexistent.
