Andrey Muradyan, 25, who was kidnapped, suffoctaed and burnt in Khabarovsk city of Russia, was from Tsalka town of Javakhk (Javakheti province of Georgia).

He lived in Khabarovsk with his family for many years. Muradyan's elder brother, Alexander, died several years ago.

''He was the last hope of his parents, the only child and now he's gone. Last year he wanted to marry, have children and make his parents happy but he changed his mind and didn't do that,'' one of Andrey's friends told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

Andrey Muradyan's father is a well-known businessman in Russia.

A criminal case has been launched into the murder under the articles of ''murder'' and ''kidnapping.''

It was found out that Muradyan was kidnapped by his friend from a garage consumer cooperative in the Railroad district. The criminals held him hostage for several days, demanding a 20 million ruble ransom for him. Later, fearing punishment, they killed him suffocating by a rope and then burnt his body.  

Two residents of Khabarovsk, 25 and 26 years old, have been involved in the case. One of the detainees accused of suffocating and burning Muradyan is an Azeri.
