STEPANAKERT. – Chairwoman of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Referendum Central Commission (NKR/Artsakh RCC), Srbuhi Arzumanyan, held her first briefing with the media on Monday at 9am at the NKR RCC Press Centre, in connection with the constitutional referendum currently being conducted in the country.

First, and on behalf of the NKR RCC, Arzumanyan conveyed congratulations on Artsakh Revival Day.

Subsequently, she stated that according to the information received from NKR referendum commissions at 9am, all 280 polling stations opened Monday at 8am, and the respective voting is underway.

Arzumanyan called on to the public to be actively involved and to perform their civic duty.

The referendum on the draft of the NKR Constitution is being held on this day.

The number of eligible voters is 102,757, informed the Press Centre of NKR Referendum Central Commission.

The respective constitutional referendum envisions a transition from a semi-presidential to a presidential system of government in Artsakh.
