The European Court of Human Rights has presented the results of its work for 2017.

In 2017, Armenia received fewer complaints than in 2016, the report shows.

Last year, the ECHR received 356 applications from Armenia, which is less than the results of 2016, which were 753. Despite this, Armenia remains in the top ten countries with the largest number of lawsuits per 10 thousand residents - 1.19 claims for 10 thousand.

Over the past year, the ECHR has recognized 109 lawsuits filed against Armenia inadmissible, 44 were communicated to the government and 12 cases were resolved.

Overall, on Armenia 1819 applications are pending, thus, Armenia is among the top ten states in terms of the number of applications pending.
