A wide range of issues, particularly problems of communication and Armenians in Javakhk will be discussed during Georgian President Mikhail Saakshvili’s visit to Armenia, Deputy Director of Caucasus Institute, political scientist Sergey Minasyan told the reporters on January 22.

According to him, radical changes are not expected at the Presidents’ meeting, but it will contribute to the solution of problems between the two states. “Georgia is interested in further cooperation with the West, while Armenia is used as an additional source in finding common ground in relations with Russia.

The expert Manvel Sargsyan said Georgia’s interest in Armenia may grow along with the country’s interest in Iran.

The political scientists did not rule out the status of Georgian Eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church will be discussed during the meeting.

As NEWS.am reported previously, on January 22, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili will pay a 2-day official visit to Armenia.
