A 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit Venezuela's northeast coast at 13:27 GMT on Wednesday, according to US Geological Survey.

The quake, at a depth of 97.5 km, came hours after a magnitude 7.3 quake hit the same area.

No tsunami warning was triggered, and there is no immediate report of casualties or damage.
