The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will always support incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan, said Armenian Speaker.
Talking to the journalists on Monday Hovik Abrahamyan recalled PAP expressed support for Sargsyan during the 2008 presidential elections. “I think the party will once again voice its support in the near future,” he added.
The party, unlike two other coalition members, has not expressed its intention to support Serzh Sargsyan’s nomination for the 2013 elections yet.
The Prosperous Armenia is a political party included in the ruling coalition. Founded by Armenian businessman Gagik Tsarukyan it debuted in 2007 Armenian parliamentary elections, winning 18 seats in Armenia’s National Assembly.
