YEREVAN. – We have quite actively developing relations with the US. We haven’t had meetings with US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, but the dialogue hasn’t reduced as a result, and it has even intensified. Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan told this to reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet session of the government of Armenia, commenting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s upcoming visit to the US.

In the FM’s words, a “special system”—of high-level meetings—with a rather complex structure operates in the US.

“And when there will be a convenient time for a meeting with Trump or Pompeo, it will definitely take place,” Mnatsakanyan assured. “It’s on our agenda, and it’s a wrong assertion when they say that we’re not succeeding in organizing those meetings.”
