YEREVAN. – The US has played a key role, ever since the first years of our independence [in 1991], in maintaining regional peace. The Foreign Minister of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, on Tuesday noted this while addressing a conference of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic departments.
The Minister stressed that Yerevan highly appreciates the American economic and financial assistance to Armenia, and which has substantially contributed to the stabilization of the socioeconomic situation in the country.
“We [Armenia] are confident that the platform for strategic dialogue with the US contains new opportunities for expanding and deepening the agenda of cooperation,” Mnatsakanyan added.
