I have never been in an agreement with anyone. Doing something behind the people’s back would mean that my life and career are meaningless. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan told journalists today, responding to the question whether he is in agreement with third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan since his opponents regularly blame him for avoiding giving a political evaluation of the activities of his predecessors.

“The evaluation of the former authorities of Armenia has already been given, and it was the revolution that took place and the revolution taking place in Armenia. My cabinet is also criticized for criticizing that which the former authorities failed to do. This is why I am presenting all that has been done as an evaluation of the former authorities,” Pashinyan said.

Pashinyan said there can be news about agreements in Armenia’s political processes, but he has never had any agreement with anyone. “There was a time when some members of the political opposition blamed me for being released based on an agreement. You can find dozens of articles about that on the Internet. I have only had an agreement with the people of Armenia, and this is the way it’s always going to be.”
