YEREVAN. – The National Assembly of Armenia today continues its regular sessions, which began a week ago. Last week the parliament could not discuss all the issues on the agenda.

Debates on the 2020 draft budget have been suspended for at least four days so that MPs and factions can submit their respective proposals within 24 hours.

Yesterday the National Assembly discussed the issue of election of the members of the Committee on Prevention of Corruption.

NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan informed that one respective candidate, each, is nominated by the government, the parliament majority My Step faction, the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction, the opposition Bright Armenia faction, and the Supreme Judicial Council.

The secret ballot election of the members of this committee will take place today from noon to 1pm.

This regular session has 36 items on the agenda.
