The Iranian side and the IAEA have reached a deal to launch four new joint projects for 2021-2022, said Kazem Qarib Abadi, Iran’s Ambassador to international organizations in Vienna.

“These projects, worth more than one million euros, financed by the IAEA, are in various fields, including promotion of security and implementation of nuclear research reactors, promotion of human resources in nuclear fuel, promotion of capacity of producers in main cereals and waste management,” IRNA reported quoting Kazem Qarib Abadi.

Despite the aggravation of the situation surrounding the nuclear deal, Tehran and the IAEA have repeatedly stated that they intend to continue cooperation in the nuclear field. On September 27, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the country does not seek nuclear weapons, therefore, it allows the agency to monitor its nuclear facilities.
