German prosecutor’s office announced Wednesday that they had closed investigation into the Oktoberfest terrorist attack in Munich in 1980, AP reported.
Thirteen people were killed - including three children - and over 200 wounded on the evening of Septemmber 26, 1980. The dead included the attacker Gundolf Koehler who supported a banned far-right group.
The investigation was closed in 1982, but in December 2014 the federal prosecutor's office announced a re-investigation after a previously unknown witness surfaced.
