YEREVAN. – Last month, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan promised us that the state of emergency in the country would be extended for the last time; this was stated Wednesday in front of the main building of the government of Armenia by a protester, who, along with a number of others, either lived in Russia or went there for work abroad before the coronavirus-related state of emergency was declared in Armenia. They are protesting against the Armenian government's decision Wednesday to extend the state of emergency for another month and not to reopen the borders.

They want to meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, or deputy prime minister and state of emergency commandant Tigran Avinyan.

"We neither want money nor anything from the [Armenian] state. Just that they create a way for the citizens who want to leave the country to go to their work, to be able to find a livelihood," said another protester.
