A while ago, as the [legal] defender of Gagik Tsarukyan [chairman of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party, MP, and business tycoon], I have submitted—via Email—a crime report. Yerem Sargsyan, one of Tsarukyan's attorneys, wrote this on Facebook.

"(…) we have received information that as a result of illegal interference by some officials, it has been ‘decided’ that the court of cassation shall deny the submitted cassation appeals as soon as possible so that the court case [against Tsarukyan] can be assigned to the Court of General Jurisdiction of the City Yerevan very quickly, an examination be carried out as speedily as possible, and Gagik Tsarukyan be arrested.

(…) So by stating those facts, I have submitted a crime report to the RA [Republic of Armenia] Prosecutor General, and the head of the RA Special Investigation Service," Sargsyan added, in particular.
