Karine Petrosyan, former judge of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, has joined the opposition Homeland Party and posted the news about this on her Facebook page. The Facebook post reads as follows:

“As I had informed earlier, I have resigned as judge of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction with the promise to continue the struggle that I had started, but hadn’t led until the end.

Realizing the fact that leading the struggle alone will be ineffective and taking into consideration the need for solutions to the problems facing the country and the processes that pose a risk to the independence of the judiciary, from now on, I HAVE THE HONOR of continuing my path as a member of the Homeland Party, which is a political party that is concerned about the security and future of Armenia, and I am continuing my path with the political party for the welfare of our people.”
