This election battle has already turned into a class struggle; they turned it into a class struggle. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this Saturday during the ruling Civil Contract Party’s election campaign—ahead of the snap parliamentary elections on June 20—in Vardenis town of Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province, referring to his opponents.

"They [my opponents] go, take videos of the Armenian citizen living in the villages, of the shepherd—one of them is engaged in livestock, the other—with her housework—, they ask, 'Who do you elect?' They say, 'We elect Nikol.' Then they show, let's say she hasn't just come out of the hair salon, or she's not wearing makeup. They say, 'See who Nikol's voter is?' Yes, I'm proud that those people who have had difficulties say 'no' to all those who give electoral bribes, those who have oppressed them for many years, and those who call them 'dirt.'

You go to the election precinct on June 20 and show who the 'dirt' is. "Those 'dirt' should be shown their real place," Pashinyan added.
