The times of "velvet" are coming to an end, dear people. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is the ruling Civil Contract Part’s candidate for Prime Minister, stated this Monday during their election campaign in Masis town of Armenia’s Ararat Province, ahead of the snap parliamentary elections on June 20.

"Today there are so called 'election shufflers,' various local government officials who have behaved badly and continue to behave badly," he said.

Pashinyan showed the adze in his hand and said: "Do you know what this tool is for? It is for removing rusty nails. I will personally deal with the 'rusty nails,' including in this province, on June 21. But for that, you need to go to the election precincts on June 20 and pick up ballot number three.

On June 20, we go to the election precincts and replace the 'velvet' mandate of all of us with the 'steel' mandate, and with that ‘steel’ mandate we establish a 'dictatorship' of law and order in Armenia. With that 'steel' mandate, we remove all the 'rusty nails.'"
