Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili commented on the events unfolding in Kazakhstan, Georgia Online reports.

In his opinion, this is a vivid example that no matter how much repression the regime may use, no matter how many people it may seize, no matter how many special forces it may bring out, the main force is freedom-loving people.

Saakashvili wrote that last year, in September, a large group of Kazakhstani opposition activists came to visit him, and already by talking to them he understood that civil society was ready for change.

The ex-president pointed to the "informal rule" of Nursultan Nazarbayev, saying that he has done a lot for Kazakhstan, but this does not give him the right to own the country privately and informally in the shadows in luxury.
