High growth in the construction sector of Armenia is predicted in 2023 as well. Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), Martin Galstyan, told this to a press conference Tuesday.

He predicted growth in Armenia’s industrial sector, too, setting it at 5.7 percent.

Galstyan expressed his belief that the price of copper will rise further, linking it to the Chinese factor.

"At the same time, there are risks that are being discussed," he emphasized.

Answering the question about cryptocurrencies, the CBA chief explained that the general approach in this regard comes down to the fact that cryptocurrencies are not a currency, but a speculative asset which is equated to property.

"Nobody knows what good cryptocurrency regulation is," Galstyan concluded.
